Job summary

California Energy Commission is seeking a Compliance & Enforcement Specialist to lead complex analysis and enforcement work related to energy efficiency regulations, including Title 24, Part 6 and Benchmarking. The role collaborates with AHJs, building owners, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective compliance and enforcement.

The position supports a hybrid, remote-centered work model with in-state telework and occasional in-person duties.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs complex technical and analytical work on energy efficiency and decarbonization, focusing on Building Energy Code Title 24, Part 6 and Benchmarking requirements.
• Interacts with AHJs, building owners, contractors, energy consultants, and regulatory boards to ensure compliance and enforcement.
• Represents the Commission before agencies and professionals on compliance and enforcement matters.
