Justice North seeks a strategic Director of Development to lead grants management, fundraising, and revenue development in northern Minnesota. The role reports to the Co-Executive Director and oversees a portfolio of 30–40 active grants from federal, state, and private sources.

You will diversify revenue, strengthen donor relationships, and establish effective development systems to support organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• At least seven years in nonprofit development, grants management, fundraising, or related field with leadership experience.
• Experience managing federal, state, and local government grants with complex reporting and compliance.
• Experience in legal aid, public interest, or similarly complex nonprofit organizations.
• Proven success managing complex grant portfolios and securing institutional funding.
• Excellent grant writing, reporting, and funding narrative development skills.
• Strong strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with funders, donors, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience supervising staff and cross-departmental initiatives.
• Proficiency with grant management systems, donor databases, and data analysis tools.
• Ability to translate program data and outcomes into compelling proposals and presentations.
