Job summary

The Link seeks a strategic Development Director to lead private fundraising and communications. You will plan and implement major gifts, annual campaigns, foundations, corporate partnerships, and events in North Minneapolis.

The role partners with the CEO/COO to increase annual fund revenue and steward donors, while managing staff and volunteers. Qualifications include 5–7 years in development, supervision experience, grant writing skills, and a track record in fundraising.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of related professional and leadership experience.
  • At least 2-5 years of supervisory experience required.
  • AB in a related field is preferred.
  • Established successful track record in fund-raising.
  • Experience managing successful special events and fundraising efforts.
  • Proven grant writing and editing skills.
  • Proficiency with WordPress and various media platforms.
  • Ability to drive and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy and annual plan.
  • Lead annual fund efforts and donor segmentation for portfolio management.
  • Maintain a portfolio of major donors and cultivate relationships.
  • Collaborate with executives to align fundraising with the strategic plan.
  • Oversee marketing materials, communications, and donor acknowledgments.
  • Supervise staff and volunteers in fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Manage grant proposals, reports, and funder communications.
