Job summary

GEMCORE’s Edwards Health Care Services division is seeking a motivated Diabetes Care Advisor to coordinate insulin pump and CGM orders with physicians and insurers. The hybrid role is based in Morehead City, NC, with a focus on excellent patient service and effective communications by phone and email.

You will build relations with patients, healthcare providers, and manufacturers while handling authorizations, billing, and ongoing care coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience or insurance knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Treat both new and existing customers like a family member.
• Cultivate new leads through physicians, diabetes educators, hospitals, clinics, manufacturer reps, and partners.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, physicians, and educators through insulin pump and CGM order processes.
• Formulate relationships with manufacturers, vendors, payers, doctors, and patients for business development.
• Process daily, weekly and monthly status reports per tracker guidelines for manufacturer and management review.
• Obtain prior authorization/pre-certification/pre-determination and Certificates of Medical Necessity per insurance requirements to determine shipment and billing.
