Marsh is seeking a talented reinsurance actuarial professional in a hybrid Chicago-area role. You will work with brokers, perform risk analyses, guide junior team members, and maintain client relationships to support new business in reinsurance actuarial services.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of actuarial or related experience with at least one actuarial exam completed. Strong communication and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• At least 2 years actuarial or related experience with at least one exam.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lead internal initiatives and research projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with brokers and advises on reinsurance programs based on risk tolerance and trends.
• Performs calculations using specialty models and client data to assess risk and outcomes.
• Reviews client data, loads data into predictive models, runs analyses, shares results with brokers.
• Directs junior team members in analyzing industry and regulatory developments affecting loss liabilities.
• Independently builds complex MetaRisk analyses and explains assumptions and results.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with brokers, reinsurers and clients to support new business.
