Job summary

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) seeks a Regulatory and Quality Assistant to provide advanced administrative support to the Regulatory and Quality teams in Washington, DC. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration three days a week with two remote days, reporting to the Chief of Regulatory Affairs.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of admin experience, with an interest in healthcare policy and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university is required.
• A minimum of one year of administrative experience working in an office environment is preferred.
• An interest in learning about healthcare policy is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced administrative support to the staff of the Regulatory and Quality teams, including the Chief of Regulatory Affairs, Chief of Quality Affairs, Senior Regulatory Associate, and Quality Associate.
• Support the overall regulatory and quality efforts by managing related administrative functions and taking on substantive work as knowledge increases.
• Provide high-level customer service to ACS members.
• Contribute to overall administrative support for the Washington ACS office.
