Job summary

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) is seeking a Regulatory and Quality Assistant to provide advanced administrative support to the Regulatory and Quality teams in Washington, D.C. This hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days remote) reports to the Chief of Regulatory Affairs and supports ACS members with high-level service while handling office-wide administrative tasks.

Required education includes a BA or higher, with 1+ year administrative experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university is required.
  • A minimum of one year of administrative experience working in an office environment is preferred.
  • An interest in learning about healthcare policy is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to overall administrative support for the Washington ACS office.

Summary

The Regulatory and Quality Assistant will provide advanced administrative support to the staff of the Regulatory and Quality teams including, but not limited to: Chief of Regulatory Affairs, Chief of Quality Affairs, Senior Regulatory Associate, and Quality Associate. Provide high-level customer service to ACS members. Contribute to overall administrative support for the Washington ACS office.

This non-exempt position will report to the Chief of Regulatory Affairs in the Division of Advocacy and Health Policy. It is based in our Washington, D.C. office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $58,656 - $65,013 (on an hourly basis, commensurate with related experience).

Required Education and/or Experience
