Job summary

The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) invites applications for the Registry Systems and Reporting Manager in Schaumburg, IL. This exempt role supports AQI’s clinical registry portfolio, ensuring data validation, analysis, and timely CMS submissions, while coordinating with EHR vendors, hospitals, and AQI teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in healthcare data systems, strong SQL/Python skills, and familiarity with HL7/FHIR and QR/QCDR reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting clinical registries or healthcare analytics.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced testing and validation of registry data feeds, interfaces, and submissions to ensure completeness and compliance.
• Supports UAT, regression testing, production validation, and release verification; documents results and actions.
• Analyzes incoming registry data to identify anomalies, errors, gaps, and quality improvements.
• Serves as Tier 3 escalation resource for complex registry issues.
• Investigates and resolves data quality, mapping, transmission, and system integration issues affecting NACOR and ACR.
• Tests and validates registry submissions with partners to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Supports CMS reporting programs by validating measure eligibility and resolving discrepancies prior to submission.
• Collaborates with AQI and ASA teams to implement new registry capabilities and CMS program changes.
• Provides training on data submission requirements and measures specifications.
• Develops and maintains implementation guides, data specs, testing plans, and technical documentation.
• Acts as SME for registry data specifications, submission requirements, validation rules, and reporting documentation.
• Monitors CMS reporting requirements and quality measure updates to assess operational impact.
• Identifies improvements in support workflows, monitoring, automation, and data quality controls, potentially applying AI/ML tools.
