Job summary

National Debt Relief is seeking a Licensing and Audit Senior Paralegal to manage state licensing, audits, registrations, renewals, and regulatory filings. The hybrid NYC-based role requires two days on-site, with additional visits during examinations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years in licensing or regulatory compliance within financial services, and familiarity with NMLS. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in licensing, regulatory, or compliance in financial services.
• Detail oriented, highly organized, and deadline driven.
• Strong written and verbal communication; good research abilities.
• Experience with state licensing, regulatory filings, or financial services compliance preferred.
• Proficiency with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare licensing documents including annual reports, renewal and new license applications.
• Assist with regulatory examinations and third-party audits.
• Coordinate changes based on examination results.
• Maintain licensing documentation and produce timely reports to Compliance Director.
• Communicate regulatory issues to management and coordinate with counsel and vendors.
• Work with internal teams and external entities on licensing projects.
