Job summary

ProAssurance is seeking a Regional Underwriting Supervisor to lead underwriting objectives, develop high-performing teams, and cultivate strong agency partnerships. You will underwrite accounts within approved authority and drive profitability for our workers’ compensation program.

The role is hybrid, located in Charlotte, NC or Ridgeland, MS, and requires a bachelor’s degree with five years of underwriting experience; CPCU or advanced certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or related field; five years of progressive underwriting experience.
• Preferred CPCU or advanced certification and workers' compensation exposure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to analyze financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise underwriting activities to meet financial and operational goals.
• Underwrite and manage a book of accounts with guidance and oversight.
• Develop and maintain strong agency relationships and promote products/services.
• Provide coaching, performance reviews, and development plans for staff.
• Monitor metrics, prepare monthly reports, and adjust strategies as needed.
• Represent the company at industry events and client meetings; travel as required.
