Job summary

CNA seeks an experienced underwriting professional for the National Accounts Property team. You will oversee the management, analysis and growth of a highly complex book of business across multiple states, serving as a technical expert in underwriting shared and layered property policies.

The hybrid role is based in Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC or Lake Mary, FL, with opportunities to expand market presence throughout the region. Requires 5+ years of underwriting experience and a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage highly complex underwriting risks with diagnostic analysis
• Develop endorsement language for complex risks
• Determine pricing for complex risks with financial/competition analysis
• Make recommendations on underwriting policy and pricing strategy
• Analyze and report profitability of risks to management
• Market products via agencies and brokers; conduct field visits
• Maintain agency relationships to grow large, high-risk business
• Mentor less experienced underwriters and provide training
• Utilize CNA systems for day-to-day underwriting tasks
• Participate in special underwriting projects and presentations
