Job summary

The American Jewish Committee (AJC) is seeking a senior Development leader to grow a multi‑faceted campaign across the greater Los Angeles region, engaging entertainment, real estate, legal and financial services sectors. This role leads donor cultivation, campaigns, and events to secure funding for the organization's mission.

Based in Los Angeles with a Hybrid work schedule, you will manage a small team, partner with regional offices, and work outside standard hours as needed to advance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
• Fundraising experience is essential.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development strategy, goals, and plans for the assigned region/department.
• Develop, oversee, and facilitate fundraising campaigns, programs, events, and initiatives.
• Identify, research, cultivate, engage, solicit, and steward donors and prospects.
• Collaborate with Boards, committees, and working groups; mentor staff as needed.
• Oversee budgets and financial reporting for development programs and events.
• Create reports and analyze department activities and impact.
