Job summary

American Jewish Committee (AJC) in Los Angeles is seeking a senior Development leader to grow a multi-faceted regional fundraising program across the Pacific Southwest. You will design and execute strategies to engage donors in entertainment, real estate, legal and financial services, and you will build a donor pipeline for a multi-state footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of related work experience.
• Fundraising experience is essential.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal).
• Strong organization and project management abilities.
• Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
• Proficient with Office, Google Suite, and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy and action plans for the assigned region.
• Develop and oversee fundraising campaigns, programs, events.
• Identify, research, cultivate, engage, solicit, and steward donors.
• Collaborate with boards, committees, task forces, and working groups.
• Manage and mentor staff (if applicable).
• Increase awareness and support for AJC initiatives.
• Maintain accurate financial records and budgets for programs.
• Create reports and analyze departmental performance and impact.
• Advise regional offices with development strategies and processes.
• Build relationships with strategic contacts and organizations.
• Design reports and marketing materials to cultivate donor interest.
