Job summary

DevCo Residential Group is seeking a full-time Financial Accountant to handle accounting for real estate development projects from predevelopment through stabilized operations. You will manage journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis, coordinating with multiple teams and third-party managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• 2-5 years financial accounting experience in Real Estate and Development preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English in a manner sufficient to carry out duties.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for development projects through the lifecycle.
• Reconcile balance sheet, CIP, loans, intercompany, and project-related accounts.
• Record and reconcile project closings and financing activity, including owner contributions and funding.
• Prepare and support owner cash calls, funding requests, and construction draw activity.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and project reporting packages; monitor costs and cash activity.
• Coordinate with Development, Construction, Treasury, Asset Management, lenders and stakeholders.
• Support accounting activities through the project lifecycle including audits and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve and standardize accounting processes.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting and system initiatives.
