Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant to manage the financials of multiple development projects. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing time between the office and home, and growth opportunities within a growing real estate developer.

You will prepare project financial statements, manage draws, budgets, and forecasts while ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate reporting to lenders and investors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years accounting experience, 3+ years in CRE/development/project accounting.
• Experience with development accounting, job cost, drawings, and project reporting.
• Experience with project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
• GAAP compliance and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly project financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage project billing, lender draws, capex, retainage, and cash flow reporting.
• Coordinate with PMs, developers, and construction teams for cost reporting accuracy.
• Support month/quarter/year-end close and audits; assist with lender/investor reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and use ERP/accounting software as listed.
