Job summary

Ellin & Tucker seeks a service-oriented Bookkeeper for its Client Accounting and Advisory Services Group in Baltimore. Responsibilities include QuickBooks setup, data entry, reporting, and client advisory to streamline cash flow and back-office operations.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with a focus on delivering accurate financial data and proactive client support in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper with QuickBooks Online.
• Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor or relevant certification is a plus.
• At least four years of accounting, financial analysis, and QuickBooks management.
• Strong Excel skills and analytical ability.
• Excellent communication and time-management under deadlines.
• Ability to tailor client solutions to needs.

Responsibilities

• Retain and grow relationships with assigned clients and communicate directly.
• Perform QuickBooks accounting functions: setup, data entry, COA review, reports.
• Record and categorize transactions; reconcile bank statements, A/R, and A/P.
• Assist and implement QuickBooks Desktop to Online conversions.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Generate invoices and monitor Accounts Receivable; remit vendor payments if needed.
• Produce regular financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, custom reports).
• Develop custom reporting templates and dashboards; provide financial guidance and cash-flow advice.
• Train and assist clients in using QuickBooks; maintain data integrity and security.
