Job summary

OtterBase is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for a hybrid role with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. You will purchase MRO goods, materials, parts, and services, and manage POs, requisitions, and SAP-based processes to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.

The role emphasizes vendor management, price accuracy, and coordination with internal teams. A high school diploma and SAP/Excel proficiency are required, with manufacturing procurement experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Purchasing/procurement experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Purchase MRO goods, materials, parts, supplies, and plant/warehouse services.
• Create and manage purchase orders, requisitions, and MRP-driven orders.
• Track orders and resolve pricing, delivery, invoice, and product discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier relationships and coordinate with internal departments.
• Set up new vendors and maintain purchasing information records.
• Manage defective/returned products, repairs, warranties, and claims.
• Support facility service agreements and contractor compliance.
• Utilize SAP for purchasing, pricing, and supplier information.
• Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and company purchasing-card transactions.
• Monitor aging purchase requests/orders and ensure timely resolution.
• Follow all safety, quality, GMP, and company procurement policies.
