Job summary

Chobani seeks an MRO Purchasing Specialist to support Maintenance and related teams by sourcing MRO tools, parts and services. You will work with OEMs and distributors, obtain quotes, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.

Ideal candidates have SAP experience, 2+ years in purchasing, and strong organization in a fast-paced setting. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and accurate ERP data management.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required, college degree preferred.
• Preferred experience with SAP.
• Minimum 2 years of inventory or purchasing experience.
• Ability to prioritize tasks to meet target dates.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Source items directly from OEM suppliers and distributors.
• Obtain quotes to secure best cost, quality and value.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate suppliers.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Parts teams to meet needs.
• Prepare Purchase Order requisitions and confirm orders.
• Source and procure emergency parts as needed.
• Maintain ETA dates in SAP accurately.
• Develop standard parts flow processes and procedures.
• Implement supplier process improvements to reduce overages/shortages.
• Maintain electronic order and packing slip files.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues.
• Resolve supplier packing slip discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate inventory transactions.
