1-800 Contacts in Draper, Utah is seeking a Purchasing Analyst to analyze demand, inventory, supplier performance, lead times, and purchasing trends. You will identify risks and opportunities and make recommendations that improve product availability and inventory efficiency.

The role works closely with Lab Operations, Inventory, suppliers, and the broader Purchasing team, balancing rigorous analysis with day-to-day execution to keep the lab and operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in finance, operations, purchasing, or analytics.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ownership mindset with capability to drive items to completion.

Responsibilities

• Create, submit, and maintain purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers.
• Review demand, inventory, open orders, lead times, and usage trends.
• Partner closely with Lab Operations to align production requirements and priorities.
• Communicate inventory risks, supplier delays, and shortages to stakeholders.
• Forecast for manufacturers and collaborate with their sales representatives.
• Assist with analytical projects and reporting for Purchasing and Optical Lab.
• Support the growth pipeline and future readiness of the supply chain.
