Job summary

RTX Pratt & Whitney in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, seeks an Engineer I to support Engine Design and Systems Integration (EDSI) - Propulsion Systems Analysis (PSA). The candidate will perform simulations and data comparisons to aid engine development and validation.

Required are a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree with GPA 3.0+, knowledge of thermodynamics, fluids mechanics, and programming in C++, Python, MATLAB or VBA. The role is hybrid, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Knowledge in Thermodynamics and Fluids Mechanics.
• U.S. Citizen required to access program information.

Responsibilities

• Perform low to medium complexity analytical simulations and performance studies.
• Create engine trending packages to monitor engine health.
• Support testing activities and data validation for onsite engine tests.
• Assist in revision of test procedures and instrumentation.
• Participate in group meetings and continuous improvement initiatives using CORE tools.
