The role handles low severity property claims, including contents losses and tenant liability matters, under moderate supervision. The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, experience with renters’ insurance claims, and an active adjuster license or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Proficiency with Property Claims estimating software and related tools.
• Ability to evaluate financial analyses and reserves.
• Experience adjusting renters’ insurance, contents, and GLPD.
• Active adjuster license in the operating state, or ability to obtain one promptly.
• Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, coverages, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle Renter’s Program claims within policy and regulatory guidelines.
• Review documents to verify coverage, liability, and damages.
• Determine extent of damage and assess risks or concerns.
• Interpret Renters & Tenant Liability policy forms for coverages and exclusions.
• Establish reserves and negotiate settlements within authority limits.
• Communicate with policyholders, agents, contractors, attorneys, and others with timely updates.
