Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects with varying risk, leading diverse teams through planning, execution, and closeout. Hybrid work arrangements apply, with travel expected 5-15% and 50-mile commuting guidance for designated facilities.

Required: 5+ years' relevant experience or 9 years with a High School/GED; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree; and strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with internal/external partners.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree AND 5 years minimum related experience OR High School / GED AND 9 years minimum related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM) or PMP is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or CMII/CM2-P certifications are a plus.
• Utility industry certifications or training are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create, staff, and lead project teams with cross-functional collaboration.
• Establish and maintain communications among project stakeholders and governance teams.
• Plan projects including scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and environmental aspects.
• Execute projects within approved scope, cost, and schedule; manage risk and compliance.
• Provide leadership, coordination, and decision making across matrixed teams.
