Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Project Controls Specialist I to contribute to project control tasks under close supervision. The role focuses on developing project schedules, cost estimates and performance analytics to support leadership decisions.

As an entry-level position, you will gain exposure to change management, risk assessment and various project controls tools while collaborating with cross-functional teams and reporting to the Project Management Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role requiring understanding of basic project controls principles and tools.
• Exposure to estimating, scheduling, change management, and cost control for orientation and training.
• Must have two years related experience if no degree.
• Familiarity with project controls concepts and governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Generate Periodic Project Controls Analytics to support leadership communications.
• Assist in tracking, trending and initiating action for changes to project scope, schedule and cost.
• Participate in benchmarking and improvement initiatives for project controls practices.
• Develop schedules, cost estimates, forecasts and change control documentation.
