Job summary

Professional Contract Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls & Estimating Coordinator in Austin, TX, to support federal service contracts across multiple lines of business.

The role emphasizes preparing cost estimates, analyzing scopes, and coordinating with Operations, Finance, and Business Development to ensure accurate pricing decisions. The position reports to Operations leadership and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or equivalent combination of experience and education, required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project controls, cost accounting, or cost estimating required.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Estimate resources needed to perform contract work for existing contracts, change orders, renewals, and new proposals.
• Review solicitation documents, scopes, contracts, and data to perform preliminary cost analysis.
• Analyze staffing, service requirements, equipment, materials, subcontractor costs to support pricing decisions.
• Partner with Operations, Business Development, Finance, Contracts, and other teams to build accurate estimates.
• Conduct project performance analysis using earned value techniques and report results.
• Act as cost system administrator for assigned projects and prepare ad hoc reports.
• Implement and maintain cost accounting procedures and estimating methods.
• Coordinate with Operations leaders to assist with change order development.
• Support Business Development with proposal development and cost estimates.
