Job summary

EnSiteUSA is seeking experienced professionals for project controls roles in our Houston office. The positions focus on cost control, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting for EPCM projects with strong analytical requirements.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in project controls within an engineering context, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders to meet contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of professional experience.
• At least five years of cost control / project controls / planning / schedule experience.
• Technical/project exposure in an engineering environment.
• Finance and accounting knowledge.
• Experience in preparing estimates per industry standards (AACE RP 18R-97).
• High level of analytical thinking to plan and forecast work.
• Advanced MS Excel capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Detail oriented with strong financial record-keeping.
• MS Office suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and distribute project cost control plans.
• Support project managers in budgeting.
• Maintain project budget information.
• Supports proposal managers and estimators in proposal pricing.
• Provide updated cost reports vs baseline and forecasts.
• Review cost coding and allocations.
• Generate internal project cost reports.
• Generate client cost reports.
• Assess manpower requirements and task durations.
• Examine data for ETC calculations.
• Prepare weekly/monthly project updates with narratives and reports.
• Reconcile cost reporting with accounting.
• Analyze cost variances to budget.
• Maintain a change log for change orders and cost impacts.
• Help prepare change order requests.
• Maintain project registers for issues, risks, actions, lessons.
• Distribute project meeting notes.
• Ensure contractual deliverables are met.
• Review client invoices for accuracy.
• Alert management to forecast movements.
• Coordinate with client and management on status.
• Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Create WBS and lead planning sessions.
• Lead baseline schedule creation and approvals.
• Perform schedule risk analysis and what-if scenarios.
• Maintain Earned Value data.
• Prepare monthly schedule updates.
