Job summary

The Geneva Foundation seeks a Project Control Analyst to manage financial and contractual elements of DoD-related projects in a hybrid role with on-site rotations at Bethesda, MD and other hub sites.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, forecasting costs, entering ETC/EAC into the financial management tool, and maintaining accruals and forecasts consistent with government guidelines. Strong Excel skills and DoD contracting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in DoD settings with CAS, FAR, DFARS, and Uniform Guidance.
• Experience across full life cycle of projects from proposal to closeout.
• Familiar with contract types such as FFP, T&M, Cost Plus.
• Strong financial reporting including forecasting, planning, cash flow, and compliance.
• Proficiency with Excel for data processing and management reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong prioritization.
• Integrity, credibility, and dedication to Geneva’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Interface with the Project Team to provide financial support and analysis.
• Collaborate to build work breakdown structures for time charging and projections.
• Process and maintain records for grants/contracts and vendor/consultant agreements.
• Review and report project actual costs for labor and direct costs.
• Prepare accruals for work performed but not invoiced per policy.
• Collect forecasts and enter ETC/EAC into the financial management tool.
• Review trends and remediate forecast issues.
• Ensure accuracy in cost, revenue, and profitability reporting per contract.
• Review vendor/subcontractor agreements to validate funding and contract type.
• Perform analyses to ensure projects stay within parameters and government cost guidelines.
• Assist with schedule risk assessments for cost/schedule risks.
• Ensure adequate funding by maintaining records and requesting additional funds.
• Incorporate contract changes into control systems and maintain baselines.
• Communicate financial status and deliverables to leadership and customers.
• Close-out activities including reconciliations and subcontract invoices.
• Assist in audits.
