Job summary

Steampunk seeks a Project Control Analyst in Tysons, VA to manage project financials, including revenue, costs, and margin reporting. You will participate in monthly closes, variance analysis, and forecasting, collaborating with program teams and accounting to ensure accurate billing and cost control.

The role requires 4+ years in project finance, strong Excel skills, and experience with government contracting. Office presence three days weekly is expected at the Tysons, VA location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
• 4+ years of project, business, and financial management experience.
• 3+ years in federal government contracting.
• Proficiency with Excel and ability to analyze data.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with program management to review and report project financial performance.
• Coordinate with accounting on billing and revenue recognition during close.
• Prepare project status, revenue and labor summaries, and ETC reports.
• Analyze monthly variances and provide margin improvement recommendations.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping and labor charging to projects.
• Maintain workforce data in the finance system and communicate charge codes.
