Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Project Accountant to support timely and accurate client invoicing on dynamic projects. You will work with project managers to set up new projects, verify BST compliance, prepare invoices, and generate reports to monitor financial health.

The role emphasizes collaboration and tight deadlines in a hybrid Miami environment. The position requires 0–2+ years in project billing, a relevant accounting degree, and strong Excel/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
• Associate's degree plus relevant experience.
• 0–2+ years of project billing experience.
• Experience in the A/E/C industry preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with BST or similar accounting software.
• Excellent time management, communication, and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read/write English in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up new projects and tasks in accounting software.
• Verify project setup in BST complies with contract.
• Prepare draft invoices for Project Managers and coordinate changes.
• Handle various contract billing types (time & material, cost plus fixed fee, lump sum, fixed unit terms).
• Monitor expenses vs labor charges on projects.
• Finalize and submit invoices with required backups.
• Provide requested reports to Project Managers.
• Assist collections and PMs to revise invoices for payment.
• Digital filing of invoices and backup.
• Perform other accounting tasks as needed.
