Job summary

Serco is seeking a Program Finance Analyst to join a fast-paced team supporting full life-cycle program finances. The role emphasizes cost, schedule and funding planning, with a strong Excel skill set and familiarity with financial systems.

The position offers a hybrid schedule out of the San Diego, CA office, with potential telework for the right candidate. Candidates should have at least 2 years of related experience and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• U.S Citizenship required
• A Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a related field
• Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations and principles, and accounting and finance principles
• Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team with a focus on high professional standards
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Provide cost, schedule and funding planning, reporting, monitoring and analysis support to Program Managers including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and development of time-phased budgets/EACs and schedules.
• Support accounts receivable during the billing processing, including invoice backup when required.
• Monitor billing status and unbilled issues, coordinating with Contracts, Accounting and PMO to resolve issues promptly.
• Oversee preparation of subcontractor and vendor accruals as services/goods are received in accordance with GAAP/IFRS and internal policies.
• Support monthly business rhythms of both the program and finance organizations, including meetings and program reviews.
• Administer formal aspects of program control in accordance with GAAP and corporate policies.
• Complete finance inputs for project setup and revenue recognition per contractual terms.
• Liaise between operations and other administrative support on financial issues.
• Interfaces with subcontractors, vendors, and customers as required.
