Job summary

Serco is hiring a Program Finance Analyst to manage full life-cycle program finances in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes cost, schedule and funding planning with strong Excel skills and GAAP/IFRS knowledge.

The position offers a hybrid schedule from the San Diego, CA office with potential telework for the right candidate. Responsibilities include EAC development, budget/baseline management, billing support, and coordinating with contracts, PMO and vendors.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Knowledge of government contracting regulations and accounting principles.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost, schedule and funding planning, reporting, monitoring and analysis support to Program Managers, including WBS, BOEs and time-phased budgets/EACs.
• Support accounts receivable during billing processing and provide invoice backup when required.
• Monitor billing status and unbilled issues, coordinating with Contracts, Accounting and PMO to resolve them.
• Oversee preparation of subcontractor and vendor accruals per GAAP/IFRS and internal policies.
• Support monthly business rhythms of the program and finance organizations; participate in reviews.
• Administer program control in line with accounting principles and company policies.
• Prepare finance inputs for project setup and revenue recognition according to contractual terms.
• Liaise between operations and other admin in financial issues.
• Interface with subcontractors, vendors and customers as needed.
