Job summary

Urban Pathways in New York, NY is seeking a Program Director to oversee service delivery and operations, ensuring contractual standards and client safety. You will supervise clinical and operational staff and foster an inclusive, anti-racist culture.

Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, you will manage program policies, compliance, recruitment, budgeting, and community relations, while remaining on-call for emergencies and supporting staff development.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field; LMSW preferred.
• Five years of experience supporting adults with mental illness and supervisory/administrative experience.
• Experience in supportive housing or similar residential programs preferred.
• Solid understanding of programmatic and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with homeless or mentally ill populations is beneficial.
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong client relational database skills (Awards preferred).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and crisis intervention skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, assesses, and evaluates program policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with the Director of Social Services and Director of Operations.
• Ensures compliance with funding and regulatory agency requirements.
• Supervises staff; conducts monthly staff meetings and supervision.
• Provides ongoing staff development and issue resolution support.
• Maintains standard operating procedures and oversees program services.
• Oversees recruitment, hiring, and onboarding with HR involvement.
• Oversee facility maintenance and regulatory compliance.
• On-call to address emergencies on a twenty-four-hour basis.
• Monitors fiscal operations and participates in annual budgeting.
• Develops community relations and represents Urban Pathways in meetings.
