Responsibilities

• Own the production editorial process from approved manuscript through copyediting, proofreading, final printer-ready files, and bound books.
• Evaluate manuscripts for copyediting, formatting, styling, and consistency, utilizing established editorial standards and electronic workflows.
• Recruit, assign, and manage freelance copyeditors, proofreaders, and other editorial resources, maintaining quality, deadlines, and approved budgets.
• Coordinate author reviews, page proofs, corrections, and approvals, ensuring changes are accurately incorporated throughout production.
• Work with content developed from previously published sources, ensuring accuracy, proper attribution, editorial consistency, and adherence to approved manuscripts.
