HarperCollins Christian Publishing's Renew division seeks an experienced Production Editor to lead the production editorial process from manuscripts to printer-ready files, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery across trade books, devotionals, children's books, and more.

You'll collaborate with editors, designers, production managers, and publishing partners in a hybrid Nashville-based role, overseeing freelancers, editing standards, and editorial workflows while upholding the Chicago

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or related field.
• Minimum three years of editorial experience in trade book publishing.
• Experience coordinating freelancers and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style and English grammar.
• Ability to manage multiple production projects.

Responsabilités

• Own the production editorial process from manuscript through copyediting, proofreading, final printer-ready files, and bound books.
• Coordinate author reviews, page proofs, corrections, and approvals.
• Recruit, assign, and manage freelance copyeditors, proofreaders, and other editorial resources.
• Collaborate with editors, designers, production managers, and publishing partners to ensure timely delivery of finished books.
• Review front and back matter, copyright information, permissions, and catalog descriptions as needed.
