HarperCollins Christian Publishing in Nashville seeks an experienced Production Editor to lead production editorial from manuscript to print, coordinating copyediting, proofreading, and final files. You will recruit freelancers, manage schedules, and ensure quality against editorial standards, timelines, and budgets.

The role blends editorial excellence with production leadership in a collaborative Renew team, offering a hybrid working arrangement out of our Nashville office.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum three years editorial experience in trade book publishing.
• Experience coordinating freelancers and meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with Christian publishing and Bible terminology preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Own the production editorial process from manuscript through copyediting, proofs, and final files.
• Evaluate manuscripts for copyediting, formatting, styling, and consistency per standards.
• Recruit, assign, and manage freelance copyeditors, proofreaders, and other resources with budgets and deadlines.
• Coordinate author reviews, proofs, and approvals; ensure changes are properly incorporated.
