Job summary

Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is seeking an experienced procurement leader to manage contract administration for professional services, construction, supplies, and capital equipment.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with the Office of Procurement Services, and ensure adherence to the Maricopa County Procurement Code, policies, and federal/state regulations. The role includes a hybrid work schedule and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Three years of contract management, procurement, or purchasing experience.
• Postgraduate degrees or professional-level experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license by time of hire.
• CPPO or CPPB certification is required or must be obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate staff activities.
• Oversee procurement staff assignments, training, metrics, and hiring.
• Represent the Department in procurement matters with professionalism.
• Coordinate needs of Divisions to meet mission in compliance with rules and regulations.
• Administer procurement processes and review contracts, bids, and purchase orders.
• Create/update procurement policies and procedures; provide training and reports.
