Job summary

Audax Group in Boston is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily Private Debt operations, including loan closings, investment transfers, and leverage facility management. This role emphasizes process improvements, controls, and scalable practices across teams and counterparties.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in private debt operations, strong Excel and analytical skills, and a track record of managing complex workflows with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• BS in finance, accounting, economics, business or related major; CFA or MBA a plus.
• 8+ years of private debt, leveraged loan, or credit operations experience.
• Experience in loan trade settlement and/or leverage facility operations.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage primary and secondary loan closings, including funding coordination, settlement timelines, documentation, and communication with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
• Manage internal transfers of investments across Private Debt vehicles, coordinating execution, settlement, documentation, and position reporting across systems.
• Oversee daily operations of leverage facilities (ABL, CLO Lite, lines of credit, warehouse facilities) including liquidity monitoring and reporting accuracy.
• Monitor daily cash activity and forecast funding needs across investment vehicles with Treasury and Finance teams.
• Provide daily oversight and guidance to junior Operations team members and ensure timely execution of activities.
• Oversee operational controls, reconciliations, exception management, and data accuracy across internal systems (BMS, WSO).
• Coordinate with external service providers (e.g., TresVista) for reconciliations and trade closings.
• Manage post-closing operational activities for agency deals including lender transfers and documentation.
• Support audit confirmations and other operational reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting for scalability and risk reduction.
