Job summary

MCN Build in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead the preconstruction phase, manage estimates, risk, and client relations in collaboration with the Project Executive. You will oversee take-offs, cost evaluation, and bid package scopes for mechanical construction projects.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and at least eight years in estimating for mechanical construction, with strong communication and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 8 years of estimating experience with a concentration in mechanical construction projects.
• Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices.
• Excellent oral and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities from design milestones to bid package definition.
• Produce progress estimates at design milestones and evaluate material costs.
• Review document progress and coordination with subcontractors and vendors.
• Manage client relations and risk for preconstruction projects.
