Job summary

Crowley is seeking a Port Engineer to oversee maintenance, repair and safe operations of assigned vessels and equipment across government fleets. You will coordinate technical support, plan dry-docks, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in marine engineering (or related field) and 5+ years in marine engineering; USCG license or maritime credentials preferred. Hybrid work in Jacksonville, FL or Norfolk, VA with strong collaboration across Operations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or related field; USCG license preferred.
• 5+ years in marine engineering; experience with shipyard dry-dockings a plus.
• Strong knowledge of propulsion, electrical and auxiliary systems; budget control.

Responsibilities

• Develop repair specifications and oversee vessel repairs; liaison with Chief Engineer.
• Plan maintenance, dry-dockings, and capital improvements; monitor budgets.
• Coordinate with yards, vendors and inspectors; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare cost estimates, procure parts, and manage documentation for audits.
