Job summary

Pickett, an ESP Associates company, is seeking a Manager within the PMO to lead a team of project managers and project controllers, driving processes, standards and tools that bring consistency and predictability to project delivery for public- and investor-owned utilities.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and shape the PMO framework, including templates, reporting tools, and controls, while expanding services with existing and new clients.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience managing engineering or infrastructure projects.
• PE registration or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
• Experience managing large-scale utility programs or complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, client relationship management, and business development skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop senior staff and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of project managers and project controllers to build PMO processes, standards and tools.
• Provide strategic leadership for delivery of complex engineering programs for utilities.
• Track and report project performance across portfolios (scope, schedule, budget, quality).
• Develop people, metrics and systems that improve how we run projects.
• Oversee PMO framework including templates, reporting tools, training and controls.
