Job summary

Thales Group in Austin, TX is seeking a PMO Specialist to provide advanced analytics, governance, and reporting across the NORAM portfolio. You will develop dashboards, KPIs, and templates, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement in PMO processes.

The role requires 5+ years in PMO/portfolio analytics, strong Excel/BI skills, and the ability to present insights to leadership. Hybrid work in Austin with domestic travel expectations are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline; minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of project and portfolio management principles, tools, methodologies, and governance practices.
• Experience analyzing complex data and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, management reports, and executive-level presentations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel with PivotTables, and PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools.
• PMP, CAPM or related project management certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently analyze and interpret complex Projects and Services data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics tools for project and portfolio performance.
• Prepare and communicate analytical findings to management and senior leadership.
• Lead monthly executive project and portfolio reviews with financials, schedules, KPIs, and risks.
• Ensure governance processes are followed across NORAM projects and promote continuous improvement.
• Support project managers with schedules, governance, and reporting; drive automation where possible.
