Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Seattle is seeking PLM Functional Consultants to support a Teamcenter-based PLM modernization for an Aerospace & Defense OEM. You bridge engineering and manufacturing users, capturing requirements and validating builds within a blended onshore–offshore team.

The role spans junior to senior levels, with responsibilities including workshops, scope mapping, and AI use-case exploration, and requires strong stakeholder-facing skills and Teamcenter expertise.

Qualifications

• 2–10 years of experience as PLM Functional Consultant/Business Analyst
• Capture requirements and map functional scope
• Owns functional areas; runs workshops; drives scope mapping
• Leads functional domains, workshops and AI use cases; Teamcenter expertise
• PLM functional/business-analysis experience appropriate to the band
• Ability to capture requirements and map functional scope in an engineering context
• Understanding of core PLM processes: BOM, change control, configuration, process planning
• Strong collaboration across onshore–offshore teams

Responsibilities

• Capture and structure functional requirements from engineering and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Map legacy PDM / process-planning scope onto Teamcenter capabilities.
• Identify and document augmented-engineering / AI use cases (AI-assisted requirements, change impact, work instruction generation).
• Document as-is / to-be processes - change control, configuration, BOM and work-instruction flows.
• Support configuration, test and validation of the Teamcenter solution against requirements.
• Collaborate across the onshore–offshore team mirroring the client; senior band runs workshops and leads scope mapping.
