Job summary

Evonik Corporation in Blair, Nebraska is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to own the maintenance budget, manage spares and assets, and drive technical optimization across the plant. You will support capex scopes, perform MOCs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while maintaining up-to-date plant documentation.

The role requires a mechanical or chemical engineering background, strong problem-solving skills, and proven collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or similar.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the asset owner for maintenance budget, spares inventory and management, equipment lifecycle management, technical optimization, preventive and predictive maintenance, gatekeeping and shutdown management concept.
• Provide technical support on equipment issues, develop scopes for technical or capex changes, execute MOC's and follow-up on incident investigations and non-conformances.
• Fulfill the requirements for GPS-PT3 Plant Engineering / Maintenance and adhere to GPS-PT6 Contractor Management.
• Keep plant documentation up to date.
• Supervise, coordinate, and check quality of work.
• Develop, maintain and optimize maintenance plans.
• Implement new regulations and Evonik requirements, consider all binding requirements.
• Implement measures from risk assessments and set up corrective actions.
• Align maintenance topics with other AN sites and colleagues.
• Create SOPs for production, health & safety, maintenance.
• Create PORs, make good receipts and other SAP administrative work.
