Job summary

Plant Engineer at Evonik is responsible for day-to-day technical support to plant operations, troubleshooting equipment and processes, and improving safety, reliability, and efficiency of production.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to execute improvements and capital projects, maintain documentation, and identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance and plant availability.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• SAP, Emerson Delta-V, Aspen, PIMs are a plus.
• Ability to maintain good communication and relationships with colleagues; manage priorities.
• Knowledge of codes and other engineering standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day plant support for process troubleshooting, new product introductions, process safety management systems, CAPEX, and OEE.
• Act as project manager for plant-related projects, up to $500,000 in value.
• Maintain technical care and condition of plants in collaboration with operations.
• Ensure defined technical availability of production plants per requirements and safety/environmental standards.
• Coordinate with site engineering, external contractors, and maintenance to secure resources for trials and projects.
