Job summary

Evonik Mapleton, IL is seeking a Plant Engineer to provide day-to-day technical support for plant operations and to troubleshoot equipment and process issues. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to drive safety, reliability, and efficiency improvements in production. Qualified candidates will hold a B.S.

or M.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 3+ years of experience, and have familiarity with SAP, Delta-V, and ASPEN IP21; PSM and EPA RMP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 3+ years of engineering experience (preferred in a chemical or oil & gas manufacturing environment).
• Experience with OSHA CFR 1910.119 PSM and EPA RMP regulations and compliance is a plus.
• Working knowledge with SAP, Emerson Delta-V, ASPEN IP21 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to plant operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
• Support safety, reliability, and efficiency improvements of production.
• Lead small to mid-size projects up to $500,000 in value.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
