Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Piping Engineer to join the Building Mechanical team and contribute to the design of state-of-the-art industrial facilities. You will perform piping engineering tasks under supervision, coordinate with project teams, and help deliver solutions that meet client needs.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of piping design experience, and proficiency with Revit, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Pipe-FLO.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of piping design experience for industrial/commercial facilities.
• Proficient in creating P&IDs, design calculations and equipment sizing.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to lead within piping discipline.
• Willingness to travel up to ~10% and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Navigate codes and standards for piping design projects.
• Perform piping system concept development and sizing calculations.
• Create P&ID’s and Block Flow Diagrams and specify equipment.
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, and other disciplines.
• Lead a piping design team and manage schedule and budget.
