Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Permit Technician to support nationwide permitting for retail and grocery projects. You will work on-site or hybrid, coordinating with the Permit Manager, project teams, and municipalities to move permits from application to issuance.

Within a year you could manage 50–75 permits, build AHJ relationships across states, and contribute to process improvements as the department scales.

Qualifications

• Background in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail to avoid submittal delays.
• Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify permitting scope for each project and prepare required submittals.
• Track permit status across nationwide projects and AHJ contacts.
• Submit applications and coordinate review until permits are approved.
