Job summary

Cushing Terrell seeks a Permit Technician to support the permitting process for a growing portfolio of national retail and grocery projects, working on-site or hybrid from one of our offices. You will identify permitting scope, prepare submittals, and track status across all 50 states under the Permit Manager’s guidance.

• Experience in architecture, engineering, or construction context such as project coordination or construction administration.
• High attention to detail; small errors can cause delays.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify permitting scope for each project and prepare submittals.
• Track permit status across nationwide portfolio.
• Submit permits to jurisdictions and coordinate review to obtain approvals.
• Gather documentation with project architects/engineers for each submission.
• Build relationships with AHJs across multiple states.
• Maintain tracking logs and reports in Smartsheet.
