Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics is a tech-enabled pediatric group reimagining care for children with special health care needs. We seek a Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to join in a hybrid role blending coding precision with billing strategy for timely claims submission and compliance.

Responsibilities include submitting claims with CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 codes, tracking denials, validating eligibility, and collaborating with providers and payers to optimize workflows and reduce denials.

Qualifications

• CPC certification is required and will be verified before employment.
• 3–5 years' experience in physician billing and coding, pediatrics preferred.
• Deep understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, HEDIS and Medicaid/commercial payers.
• Proficiency with Athena EMR and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Submit clean, timely claims with CPT/HCPCS/ ICD-10 codes and modifiers.
• Track and resolve denials, rejections, and underpayments with follow-up and resubmission.
• Validate eligibility, authorization, and proper billing pathways for all encounters.
• Ensure correct use of telehealth, SDOH, and preventive care codes.
• Collaborate with credentialing, payer reps, and provider teams to ensure compliance.
• Assist with documentation improvements and coding accuracy initiatives.
