Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics, a tech-enabled pediatric medical group, seeks a Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to join a hybrid team. You will handle precise claim submissions, denials management, and coding optimization, collaborating with providers and payer partners to improve documentation and reduce denials.

You bring CPC certification, 3–5 years in physician billing (pediatrics preferred), and proficiency with Athena EMR and Excel to support telehealth billing and HEDIS reporting.

Qualifications

• AAPC CPC certification required.
• 3–5 years of physician billing and coding (pediatrics preferred).
• Proficiency with Athena EMR and Microsoft Excel.
• Deep understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, HEDIS, and Medicaid/commercial payers.
• Experience with telehealth billing and value-based care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Submit clean, timely claims with accurate CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 codes and modifiers.
• Track denials and resubmissions, and verify eligibility and proper billing pathways.
• Identify coding gaps and educate providers to drive documentation improvement.
• Collaborate with data analytics to track claim trends and AR performance.
• Support cross-team workflows with payer requirements and compliance.
