Job summary

Veritext is seeking a Payroll Manager, North America, to oversee payroll for employees in the United States and Canada. The role ensures compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local payroll tax regulations and collaborates with vendors and internal teams to support efficient workflows.

The candidate will manage weekly/biweekly payroll, audit data, prepare year-end forms, and generate reports for accounting and audits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related payroll experience.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. multi-state and Canadian payroll laws and tax regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processing for U.S. and Canada (weekly/biweekly) using Dayforce.
• Ensure timely payroll tax filings and remittances at federal, state/provincial, and local levels.
• Review and audit payroll data for accuracy and compliance each pay period.
• Maintain payroll records and year-end forms (W‑2s, T4s) procedures.
